Once again, an abas customer, CFM Schiller, opted to implement our CRM solution in order to bundle the advantages of both ERP and CRM. Since 1978, CFM Schiller has been developing and manufacturing test rig components and the entire mechanisms for static and dynamic test rig. With more than 40 years’ experience and internationally represented, the company, with headquarters in Roetgen, Germany, is the expert partner for standard solutions as well as for custom-designed individual solutions.
When looking for a suitable CRM system, the decision for SMARTCRM rested on our extensive abas know-how. In 20 years cooperation partnership with the abas Software GmbH, we have further developed our expertise in the ERP field. Thanks to a pre-configured, individually adjustable standard interface, our CRM system can be smoothly connected to abas ERP. This also convinced CFM Schiller, where in the future, quotations including positions as well as figures such as sales revenues, incoming orders or order backlog positions will be transferred from abas ERP to SMARTCRM. The bi-directionality of the interface also enables the transfer of data in the opposite direction.
Another goal of the CRM introduction is the optimization of project management. Up to now, a complete overview was not enabled – this is set to change with SMARTCRM. Indeed, the electronic project file reunites all related pieces of information: the addresses and contacts involved, the quotations transferred from abas ERP as well as the entire communication history. There, CFM Schiller has been particularly impressed by the automatic import of e-mails from Microsoft Outlook. In addition, SMARTCRM provides up-to-date forecast analyses to the staff at the press of a button that used to be laboriously managed in Microsoft Excel before. Even the previously purchased systems will be managed in SMARTCRM in the near future and linked to the corresponding project file.
Before the CRM introduction, international subsidiaries were not optimally integrated to the internal communication process. Due to local data storage, e.g. in Microsoft Outlook, employees did not have access to all information. Thanks to SMARTCRM and its English user interface, all CRM data will be available at all locations and at all times in the future, thus improving internal and external communication.
