Exciting news : Our customer base in the abas environment has grown once again as we welcome FB Food GmbH as a new customer. The family business located in Hüfingen, Germany, has been active in the area of food production from cereals and cereal products since 2004.

In the CRM selection process, FB Food chose SMARTCRM. In addition to the appropriate catalog of requirements, the recommendation of well-known companies in the FB Food environment was a bonus point in the decision. Another plus point: the interface know-how around abas ERP. FB Food has been an abas customer for many years, so it was clear that the CRM solution had to be linked to abas. No question for us and our bidirectional standard interface, which can be implemented quickly and easily and adapted to individual customer requirements. SMARTCRM will use this interface to import customers, suppliers, articles, quotations and figures – sales, open order items, open items, order backlog, invoices and open invoices – from the ERP software and transfer contacts to abas in the opposite direction.

The company was also impressed by the wide range of reports that SMARTCRM provides. For example, regional trends can be identified more quickly, which is beneficial for production planning.

We will connect SMARTCRM to the HABEL DMS solution via another standard interface. The teams will then be able to access HABEL documents directly in the CRM system or transfer files to the DMS at the click of a mouse.

SMARTCRM FB Food provides intensive CRM support for sales and purchasing. Customer-related information from various data sources can now be bundled in the central CRM. This saves the company time in internal communication as well as in data maintenance and procurement.

An important goal of the CRM implementation is to optimize project management. In the future, projects will be mapped in the CRM project file from inquiry to completion, including the people involved in the project. This guarantees a complete overview of all projects. Together with its customers, FB Food often develops highly individual products – right down to the individual product packaging. This makes it particularly important to maintain a complete overview of all communications, quotations, samples and feedback. In SMARTCRM, all project steps are documented on separate tabs. For example, when a product sample is sent, details and ingredients can be stored. This way, it is always possible to see how the composition of the product has changed during development.

Quotations are transferred from abas ERP via the interface and automatically archived in the corresponding customer or project file. Tasks with due dates and reminders as well as overviews directly on the start screen, the SMART Board, support the sales department in tracking quotations.

All of this critical information is available on mobile devices, both offline on notebooks and online via the SMARTCRM.App.

Intensive use of CRM is also planned for the purchasing department. With detailed classifications and an overview of the entire communication history, SMARTCRM enables comprehensive supplier management at FB Food. All e-mails are imported from the Microsoft Outlook accounts via Microsoft Exchange and stored centrally in the respective file. Various analyses of the invoices and order stocks transferred from abas complete the complete overview of the purchased raw materials and prices. Since the purchasing department works closely with the sales department, it is a great advantage for the team to be able to access all sales information directly and centrally at any time.
