Welcome back: for the second time, PENTAC relies on SMARTCRM

After a break, SMARTCRM GmbH is glad to count PENTAC Polymer back as a customer. A change of the ERP system several years ago induced the replacement of the CRM, PENTAC has now decided to reintroduce SMARTCRM.

Founded in 1987, PENTAC Polymer GmbH is involved in the development and production of customer-specific compounds in the field of polyamide and polyester injection molding compounds at the production site in GroƟ-Umstadt, Germany. The medium-sized, independent family-run company specialized early in the thermoplastic construction materials polyamide and polyester. The distributed polymer compounds are successfully used in many market sectors and especially in the automotive industry.

In the future, the employees of the sales, marketing, service and purchasing departments will use SMARTCRM for their daily tasks. The CRM solution imports customer, prospective customer and supplier data as well as products and figures based on SQL views over an interface to Comarch, previously Semiramis. This way, double data maintenance in the ERP and in the CRM systems is eliminated. Office and field sales staff can access the figures at the press of a button in the form of numerous analyses directly in SMARTCRM. This means that they are always up-to-date on turnover or the type of products purchased by a customer. In this way, SMARTCRM fulfills an important goal of the CRM implementation and optimizes the visit preparation of the sales employees. When away from the office, for instance during a customer visit, the employees either access the entire CRM database offline via their notebooks or use online access to important customer data via the app on their iPhone or iPad.

The purchasing employees will use SMARTCRM as a SRM system for their supplier management. Thus, they manage their suppliers similar to customer and prospective customer files used by the sales staff, and have always access to all relevant information such as the documentation of the offered supply portfolio, the importance of the supplier for PENTAC and in turn their own positioning with the supplier. Using the various selection options, requests can be directly sent from the system via serial e-mail to the appropriate suppliers. Incoming offers can be completely documented and therefore are optimally traceable. SMARTCRM imports the current purchasing figures via the interface to Comarch ERP. This enables purchasing employees to keep track of open orders or invoices, for instance, with just a few clicks.
