With STEINMETZ EXPO AG, we welcome another new customer from Switzerland. After two years of Covid, STEINMETZ EXPO, a renowned exhibition stand constructor from Volketswil, Switzerland, is taking off again and has decided to use SMARTCRM to support its sales processes.
Since the company has already been using SAP Business One, an interface between ERP and CRM systems was a mandatory requirement in the selection process. In this aspect, we impressed with our great expertise and a standard connection to SAP. In the future, SMARTCRM will import customers, suppliers, contacts and articles from SAP Business One via the interface. In addition, the figures, such as sales, order backlog and contribution margin items as well as open items, will be transferred from the ERP solution. Our CRM solution will provide these data on different levels in a variety of BI analyses and will make them available at any time at the press of a button.
Cooperation at eye level was another key criterion in the CRM decision. Previously, trade fair and customer information as well as all communication were stored in local files and in the Microsoft Outlook accounts of the sales staff. This meant that there was no central pool of information available to everyone involved. With SMARTCRM, this should and will change. Thanks to the Outlook integration and the Microsoft Exchange connection, all e-mails are automatically archived in the SMARTCRM customer file. Thank to this and completed by the documentation of phone calls and visits, SMARTCRM provides a full activity history for customers and suppliers. With the help of freely definable features, STEINMETZ EXPO can store in detail who was an exhibitor at which trade fair and select this important information at any time, even in retrospect, for instance, to specifically address all previous year’s exhibitors at a trade fair. It is also possible to track which suppliers were involved in which trade fairs. Due to the abundance of contacts with whom the stand builder works within the framework of an event, such an overview in the CRM solution is of great advantage.
A central component in the sales process is the dispatch of quotations. These are created in the ERP system and automatically stored in the respective CRM customer file. With follow-up tasks as well as overviews of due offers, SMARTCRM ensures optimal offer follow-up.
All this information is also available to field staff at any time, either on a smartphone via the SMARTCRM.App for Android and iOS, or offline on a notebook when in an exhibition hall with poor Internet access, for instance. As soon as an Internet access is available again, the notebook version is synchronized with the main system so that the information is also available promptly for the office staff.
