From now on, our CRM solution supports field and office sales staff of the Proton Motor Fuel Cell. The internationally active company, headquartered in Puchheim, Germany, manufactures environment-friendly hydrogen fuel cells and fuel cell hybrid system for mobile, maritime, stationary and train applications. In the CRM selection process, we highly scored in reference interviews with greatly satisfied customers.
The most important goal of the CRM implementation is the optimal tracking of the quotations. So far, quotations were prepared in Microsoft Word and because of local storage, they were not always available to colleagues. This is about to change with SMARTCRM. From now on, all sales projects will be indeed documented and managed in the CRM system. The project file can be structured in different phases and bundles all associated addresses and their contacts. Proton Motor will be able to see the complete communication related to a project at a glance. This is a key issue for the company as there are numerous agreements with the customer upstream from the placement of an order and the manufacturing of a customer-specific product. To gain a complete activity history, e-mails that were previously stored locally in Microsoft Outlook are therefore imported into SMARTCRM via Microsoft Exchange.
Thanks to the Microsoft Office integration, sales employees will create their quotations directly in the CRM solution. Templates and text modules stored in SMARTCRM as well as the automatically filling mail merge fields provide for a uniform appearance and ease to use. Quotations are automatically stored in the project file and can be directly sent to the customer by e-mail. Tasks with due dates and reminders as well as overviews on the start screen of our CRM solution enable optimal tracking.
SMARTCRM offers also additional advantages to the sales department. Using the bidirectional standard interface, the CRM system could easily be connected to the ERP solution abas ERP used by Proton Motor. From now on, customers, prospective customers, contacts, orders, turnover positions and open items are imported via this interface. In the other way around, SMARTCRM transfers quotations to abas. Proton Motor can analyze the imported current figures on different levels and compare them to the values of the previous year with just one click – our BI functionalities offer numerous evaluation options.
In the future, the field force will also have this information at their disposal. Because either on the roads or working from home, they can indeed access all important CRM information offline via their notebooks or online via the SMARTCRM.App.
In a second step, Proton Motor plans to introduce SMARTCRM in the service department. Then, machines and complaints can be managed in the CRM solution.
