CRM supports a manufacturer of drive solutions

Ketterer relies on SMARTCRM

The B. Ketterer Söhne GmbH & Co. KG in Furtwangen (Germany) has chosen to implement SMARTCRM. Thus, the CRM system supports the staff of the sales and marketing departments from now on.

The company has been manufacturing motor drives for ergonomically height adjustable desks and workshop tables. In Furtwangen, Germany, about 175 employees develop and produce drive solutions for various applications in the fields of ergonomics and comfort as well as BLDC motors.

Thanks to SMARTCRM, Ketterer optimizes the communication between field service and back office. This way and from now on, SMARTCRM allows a comprehensive visit preparation for the field service staff due to the complete activity history among others. They can access at any time and on the go all CRM data over their Notebooks using the offline capability, even if no internet access is available at a customer’s or on their way in. The newly entered data are also promptly available to the back office colleagues – as soon as a connection to the Internet is established.

In addition to SMARTCRM, Ketterer uses the ERP software Infor COM as well as the document management system ELO. SMARTCRM imports the address data, quotations as well as the current figures from the ERP Infor COM over an interface. The latter can be evaluated on many levels – another point that was key in Ketterer’s decision for SMARTCRM.

Using the interface to ELO, the employees can open a document out of ELO with just a click directly from SMARTCRM. In turn, documents are transferred at the press of a button from the CRM system to the document management system.

SMARTCRM sustainably supports the marketing staff. Thus, the CRM system allows the detailed selection of the matching target group in the framework of campaign management.

As a second step, Ketterer is planning the integration of the purchasing department to SMARTCRM.
