Rudolf Storz GmbH has been working with SMARTCRM in sales and purchasing since 2020. The company had already used a CRM system before, but it did not offer an optimal connection to their ERP solution Majesty. Therefore, the decision was made to replace the CRM software. As a long-standing cooperation partner of majesty GmbH, we impressed with our standard interface to the ERP system and our associated expertise in the selection process. In addition, our CRM solution scored with its great user-friendliness and intuitive operation.

Standard connection to Majesty
SMARTCRM takes over customers, offers including positions, products and product groups as well as the figures such as turnover, order backlog and open items from Majesty via the interface. SMARTCRM evaluates these data and makes them available to employees in controlling, sales and purchasing in numerous BI analyses. Thus, another important requirement of the medical technology manufacturer for the CRM solution could be met. Before the introduction of CRM, evaluations were only possible in the ERP system or were created manually by the employees in Microsoft Excel. Today, they are up-to-date and displayed on the screen on different levels at the press of a button. For example, SMARTCRM provides order and delivery overviews. Current customer sales can also be viewed at any time and can be compared with the corresponding previous year’s figures. This enables the early detection of trends and targeted sales work. For this purpose, the most important evaluations and diagrams are already available to employees on their home screen, the SMART Board.

Customer-related analyses can be called up directly in the customer file, which also bundles all communication with the customer. For this, e-mails are automatically imported into the respective SMARTCRM customer file from the local Outlook accounts of the employees via Microsoft Exchange. Thus, the overall overview is always guaranteed for everyone and the employees are always informed about who discussed what with whom. The 360° view is completed by the quotations, including respective positions, imported from Majesty and archived in the customer file. This allows the sales staff an optimal tracking.
SRM with CRM
The purchasing department also works with SMARTCRM. The corresponding figures – stock on order items and (open) invoices – are taken over from Majesty via the interface and made available in a variety of analyses, as for sales figures. Suppliers are also imported from the ERP system and can be classified in detail in SMARTCRM. Supplemented by the entire communication history, the supplier file in SMARTCRM thus offers the current overall overview of all supplier relationships at all times.
Mapping of companies
The affiliated company of Rudolf Storz GmbH is medical bees GmbH, which also uses SMARTCRM. To ensure that the employees only work with the information they need, the two companies are represented as their own clients. If required, visualizing CRM data across companies in order, for example, to view cumulative BI evaluations is, of course, possible.
Serial emails from the CRM
In the near future, it is planned to deploy SMARTCRM also in the marketing department. With the assignment of freely definable features to addresses and contact persons as well as extensive selection options, the CRM solution offers the optimal tools for an exact target group definition in the context of a marketing campaign. In addition, the medical technology manufacturer also wants to send serial e-mails directly from SMARTCRM. Thanks to the connection to Microsoft Office and stored text modules, this is easy to do.
