Since 2003, SMARTCRM has supported as central customer and information system the sales management at Hänssler Hydraulik GmbH. During the decision-making process, SMARTCRM convinced with high user-friendliness and the possibility for the system administrator at Hänssler’s to manage the software himself and if necessary to adapt it. Since the company wanted to optimize the order tracking, the transfer of incoming order data and invoice outputs from the ERP system abas Business Suite was an important reason for Hänssler to choose SMARTCRM.

A bidirectional standard interface ensures the synchronization between abas ERP and SMARTCRM. Efficient Sales Work
Many functions in SMARTCRM support the sales employees in their daily work. If a customer or a prospect calls, thanks to the CTI function, SMARTCRM shows the employee the caller’s name with the first ring. With a click, the customer file and the complete activity history opens. So, the employee quickly obtains an overview and can deal with the caller’s matter competently. There are no long waiting loops at Hänssler. Finally, the call is documented in SMARTCRM and if necessary, can be accessed at any time. If tasks or appointments for employees or colleagues result as of the phone call, they are easily sent to SMARTCRM and displayed in the schedule.
Complete Order Tracking
Via the interface, the created orders including the positions are transferred from abas ERP to SMARTCRM and filed there with the corresponding customer address. Thus, all orders are fully documented in the CRM software and can be viewed at ease. With SMARTCRM, the employees always keep an overview of all incoming orders and outgoing invoices – which guarantees optimal tracking.
Evaluation at the Press of a Button
Before the implementation of SMARTCRM, Hänssler Hydraulik GmbH had arranged figures from abas ERP in Excel files. This way, the preparation of sales statistics was laborious and time-consuming. In addition, many statistics were not significant enough to be used as basis for informed decisions. With SMARTCRM, this has changed: the CRM system imports via the interface sales figures, open positions, incoming orders, order backlog as well as product data from abas ERP and make them available in many daily evaluations. So, the sales employees always keep an eye on the turnover development of their customers. Sales declines are detected early on and countermeasures are possible. Evaluations can be invoked at different levels and be tracked back to the product level – a great advantage for a company with a broad product range.
The acceptance is really high among the sales staff. One of the features they particularly appreciate is the duplicate check. If a new address is created in SMARTCRM, the CRM system verifies automatically, whether it already exists. Hence it avoids that employees contact new customers multiple times. The new customer acquisition is significantly simplified. In addition, a comfortable appointment and task manager is at your disposal in SMARTCRM. So, for instance, the follow-up for appointments is intensely used by the sales employees. During the software launch, SMARTCRM convinced with the expertise of its employees. Even today, Hänssler Hydraulik GmbH is pleased with the rapid assistance from the hotline employees of the CRM manufacturer. In the future, Hänssler wants to get the most of its SMARTCRM installation. Thanks to the flexibility of the CRM software, it can be further adapted to the individual needs of the company.
